Updates for the Week of April 10-14

2017 Bay Port Track Club -

Open To Boys & Girls In Grades 3 - 4 - 5 - 6

The program includes a T-shirt, an introduction to and instruction in track and field events, and a ribbon for every child during our club meets.  All track club activities will occur at the Bay Port High School track complex.  Please meet on the asphalt area behind the concession stand.

We will accept younger children, but understand our practices and club meets are geared toward boys and girls in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6.  If you have any questions, please call Girls Head Coach Victor Murphy (662-9857) or Boys Head Coach Andy Nuthals (662-7151).  Our activity is outdoors and weather dependent.  If weather is severe we will cancel.  Because of the large number of commitments at this time of the year, missed days will not be rescheduled.  

Participation Fee is $25.00 per child and includes club T-shirt. 

Form is available on the Bay Port athletic website located under the Youth Programs tab. 

6^th Annual 2myles4autism Run/Walk being held on Saturday, April 22 at 9:00 am at Meadowbrook Elementary. 

·         Our t-shirt deadline has been extended to Sunday, April 9!  Register by THIS SUNDAY and you will receive a t-shirt at the event.  You can still register after Sunday, but your t-shirt will not be available until sometime after the event.

·         I have attached this year’s t-shirt design.  Thank you to Team Apparel for putting together a great design!

·         Check out the following ways you can support 2myles4autism otherwise!  We appreciate these businesses supporting our cause:

• ZESTY’S - during the entire month of April, Zesty’s is donating a portion of all sales of their “Scrambles” ice cream mixers.  Let them know that you are purchasing for 2myles4autism.
• CULVER’S SUAMICO - Culver’s will be sponsoring a 2myles4autism evening soon.  When we have the date finalized, we’ll let you know.
• FESTIVAL SUAMICO - Festival in Suamico will be hosting a “Brat Barn” event on Friday, April 21 from 10 am - 5 pm.  Proceeds will benefit 2myles4autism.
• SWEET MIMIS - Sweet Mimi’s in Suamico will be hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, April 22 from 1 - 9 pm.  Tell them you are from 2myles4autism!

Goal progress for Reading

Students have read 505 books out of our 584 goal.  Woohoo!.

Headphones

 It is critical that students have headphones for FORWARD testing.  This is held at the end of April.   Please check with your child to ensure they have working headphones here at school not only for testing but also for everyday use in class.  Students should have these here at school at all times.

Tuesday, April 11^th – Summer School Registration begins at 4:30. 

Friday, April 14^th – No School

Tuesday, April 25^th through Thursday, April 27^th – Students will have FORWARD testing from 8:30-10:30, please try to schedule appointments around this.  

Friday, April 28^th – No School

Tuesday, May 16^th and Wednesday, May 17^th – Students will have MAP testing from 8:30-10:30, again please try to schedule appointments around this.
