Week of October 24-26

Spirit Week 
This week the Peer Leaders group is sponsoring a Spirit Week.  During this week, students are encouraged to dress up with the theme.
Monday - Pajamas
Tuesday - Twin Day
Wednesday - Decades Day - Students can wear hats for $1.00 - all proceeds go to Heavenly Hats

Book Fair
The Book Fair will be open in the Roadrunner Room next week.  If your child brings money and would like to check out the wonderful merchandise that the Book Fair has to offer, they will have the opportunity during a lunch or possibly another time throughout the day.  It will also be open during parent-teacher conferences!  So enjoy a new book and support a Lineville fundraiser.

Sucker Sales
Students do have the opportunity at lunch to purchase suckers for $1.00.  Students are allowed a maximum of 2 suckers per day.  

Picture Retakes
Students who had their retakes taken last Friday, need to hand in their picture money in by Wednesday, October 26th.

Food Drive for the Giving Tree
Please consider donating to the Giving Tree by bringing non-perishable food items with you to conferences.  There will be drop off buckets up by the main office.  You may also send them in with your child.

Conferences 
Conferences will be held again on Tuesday from 4:00-7:30 and Thursday from 8:00-11:00.  We do encourage the child to attend with the parents to help facilitate an ownership in their learning.  

No School
There will be no school held on Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28.

Battle of the Books:
Battle of the Books teams are now forming! Your child's team needs 2 to 4 readers from their lunch silo. Teams must be registered by October 31, 2016. All the information is on the Battle of the Books website off the Library Media Center webpage or they can ask questions in the LMC.

Dress Up Day and Candy Walk 
For an all school incentive of students reaching 45,000 acknowledgement cards, students will be able to participate in our school:
DRESS UP DAY AND CANDY WALK- OCTOBER 31st
Students will be allowed to wear a costume to school (dress up) and then will travel around the school, stopping at different locations, collecting candy and treats!  This will be held from 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon:)  
So, get your costumes ready!  
Dress Up Regulations: Costumes may be worn to school without the following: removeable masks (may be put on for the candy walk),props, weapons.  Make-up is allowed.

Veteran's Day Assembly
Lineville Intermediate will once again be having a Veteran’s Day Assembly on Thursday, November 10th at 1:45PM in the Lineville gym.  We would like to invite family and friends that have served or are currently serving our country to attend our program and stay for a social with light refreshments after.  Parents will be able to take their student home after if they wish.
